Austrian Singer/Songwriter Roland Daucher: new album „Bird of Passage“
Familiar Groove, good Sound: lyrical guitar and "profound lightness"
In his new album “Bird of Passage” singer/songwriter Roland Daucher brings together the guitar with “profound lightness”. In the past Roland Daucher has worked with Harri Stojka, Geri Schuller and Jörg Mikula. Here he has recorded four intense songs with Robin Gillard and Nina Hiesberger.
Influences from such icons as Eric Clapton, Santana, Mike Stern and Frank Zappa are hinted at by the musical combination of songwriter and the prominent guitar. Roland Daucher has definitely found his own style.
Great modernisms are alien to Daucher; music is “an expression of the feeling of life in the moment”. With his usual good groove and sound, Daucher aims to evoke positive emotions. He calls it “uplifting consciousness through music”. One can especially feel it with this album.
